TrashBashers The Trashbashers of Dream Lake Elementary is a clean-up, beautification and recycling club made up of 5th grade students. A list of their jobs and duties includes: keeping our campus clear of litter, recycling, maintaining our butterfly and secret gardens and teaching others about the environment. Some of their past, present and future projects are: painting the bike rack, building a butterfly garden, building the secret garden, making crafts using recycled materials and recycling newspapers to create revenue. They have also participated in many community activities: marching in the Apopka High School Homecoming parade, joining in with other volunteers for the Chamber of Commerce Clean-Up day, and selling plants for a fund-raiser. This year the Trashbashers are teaching others about reusing and recycling through the Fabulous Friday News broadcast and through hands on teaching in the classroom. It’s a great club to be a part of. Click HERE to download a TrashBasher Application
